Sample Packing Instructions

When shipping via a 3rd party carrier such as Fedex or UPS, please follow these packing instructions so that your samples arrive safely, securely and in temperature.
  • Keep the samples on wet ice
    • NO dry, blue packs, block
    • Plan to fill cooler space with at least 1/3 ice
    • Dry ice is a safety hazard and will freeze samples solid
  • Protect glass or it will break in shipment
    • Keep containers separated by packing material - no direct contact
    • Do not stack
    • Do not lay on side
    • When in doubt, use a larger cooler to make room for more cushioning
  • Best shock protection: bubble bags
    • Cushion, insulate and protect label information from blurring
  • No absorbent materials -- NO paper, cardboard, peanuts, vermiculite
    • Soggy, they lose their cushioning properties
  • Sample labeling

When in doubt, always use more ice.
As always, contact us if you have any questions.
